Opportunities profiles, photos and event responses
Business photos are visible to eligible signed-in members on listings and events. Professional profiles and work photos are separate from dating profiles and are shared with a business only when you choose to include them in an application. You can select basic details and a photo to copy from your own dating profile; copied items are independent afterward. Age, dating preferences and conversations are not copied. Businesses with a shared, unwithdrawn application can see later professional profile changes. Withdrawing all shared applications to a business removes its access in the app. Guests explicitly share their entered name and Interested or Going response with an event host; other guests cannot see the guest list. Guests can change or remove their response. Recipients may already have seen or saved information before access is removed. Removed or replaced image files may remain in private storage until account deletion but are no longer available to other members through that profile.
Who runs I’m Cut
I’m Cut is operated by IM CUT LLC. This notice describes the current beta app and its support website. Contact IM CUT LLC at support@imcutapp.com for privacy questions, account help, or requests about your information.
Information you provide
We process your email address and account credentials to register and sign you in. Your profile can include your first name, birth date and age, city and hometown, gender, sexual orientation, who you want to meet, photos, biography, interests, prompts, height, pronouns, relationship and family preferences, religion, lifestyle answers, work details, schedules, and days off. Some answers are optional and may be sensitive. We also store likes, passes, connections, messages, reactions, reports, blocks, and information you send to support.
Opportunities information and sharing
Where Opportunities is available, we store your primary account type, opportunity opt-in, professional roles, interests and travel preferences. Business accounts provide a business name, city, website, description and partnership interests, plus the account holder’s name and birth date for account setup and age eligibility. Business profiles and published listings are available to eligible signed-in members. Draft listings are available to their owner. The business account holder’s private name and birth date are not included in the business profile shown to other members.
Applications and business replies
An application shares the name or business name, role, optional city, optional portfolio link and message you enter with the listing’s business. We also store the listing reference, application status, business reply and timestamps. The application form asks you to confirm sharing before sending. It does not automatically include dating photos, dating answers or conversations. We use these details to provide application tracking and business review. Businesses can retain copies of information they receive outside the app; contact the recipient about those copies.
Opportunity choices and retention
You can change your opportunity preferences, withdraw an application, and edit or close your own listings. Turning off opportunity participation does not remove applications already sent. Withdrawal changes an application’s status; it does not erase the submitted details or copies already received by the business. Closing a listing does not delete its applications. Deleting your account removes your opportunity preferences and applications from the active service. Deleting a business owner’s account also removes its business profile, listings and associated applications. Safety records and provider backups follow the retention limits described below. Contact support for help with a specific record.
Location and device information
If you allow location access, the app rounds location coordinates to two decimal places before sending them to our service. We use that approximate location for distance and discovery. Coordinates are not displayed on your profile, but your city and estimated distance can be shown. In app versions with current-location distance, location refreshes while you use the app and when you apply discovery filters; it is not tracked in the background. Anywhere removes the search radius but does not turn off location. You can revoke location permission in your phone settings. Distances use recent device locations, not profile cities. Older beta versions update location only when distance filters are applied. When you enable notifications, we store a notification token and device platform. We also store notification preferences, quiet-hours timezone, account activity timestamps, and technical delivery records. Our hosting and delivery services may process IP addresses and request logs to operate and secure their services.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, display profiles, apply discovery preferences, suggest relevant connections using shared interests and days off, provide messaging and notifications, respond to support requests, and investigate misuse. We do not currently sell member information or use it for targeted advertising. The app does not currently include an advertising SDK or a production product-analytics service. Promoting I’m Cut to the public does not mean we provide advertisers with members’ profiles or conversations.
What other people can see
Other members can see the photos and profile answers you share, including optional sensitive answers. Your birth date is used to calculate age; the profile displays age. Messages are available to the people in that conversation. Shift and activity visibility depend on your sharing settings. Do not put passwords, private contact details, or information about other people into your public profile. Recipients may save or screenshot information; we cannot remove copies they keep outside the app.
Service providers and safety access
Supabase provides account authentication, database, and photo storage. Expo and the platform notification services deliver enabled push notifications. Apple provides TestFlight distribution and may provide beta feedback and diagnostics. The support website uses Sites hosting, and support email is handled through Porkbun Email. These services process information needed for their functions under their own terms and privacy practices. IM CUT LLC handles support and moderation. Restricted safety evidence may be reviewed to investigate a report. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect people and the service.
Retention and deletion
Account and profile data remain while your account is active unless you edit or delete them. Delete account in Settings & Safety removes your account, stored profile photos, and associated profile and connection data from the active service. Pausing a profile or uninstalling the app does not delete the account. A failed deletion may hide your profile while cleanup is incomplete; retry or contact support. When a report is made, up to 200 recent messages between the two people are copied to restricted safety records. Daily cleanup clears that copied message evidence once the report is over 90 days old, including after unmatching or account deletion. Past-connection records are cleared by daily cleanup after 90 days; push delivery records are cleared after 30 days. Report reasons, supporting details, identifiers, review notes, and support correspondence are separate from message evidence and are not covered by its 90-day deletion rule. Closed safety-case records and related report/action records are deleted by daily cleanup 12 months after closure. Open investigations remain until resolved; reopening a case resets its closure date but does not extend the 90-day copied-message rule. Support correspondence follows a separate manual process. Provider backups and service logs may outlast deletion from the active app under the provider’s retention practices.
Your choices and requests
You can edit profile answers, clear optional answers, manage discovery preferences and sharing, turn notifications off, or delete your account. You can also change camera, photo, and location permissions in your phone settings. For access, correction, or deletion requests, email support@imcutapp.com, preferably from your registered address. We may verify ownership before acting; never send a password or verification code. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. Contact us to exercise those rights or ask us to reconsider a response.
Adults only and security
I’m Cut is for adults 18 and older. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, report it in the app or contact support. We use access controls and service-provider security measures, but no system can guarantee perfect security. Avoid sharing sensitive information unnecessarily. For an immediate threat, contact emergency services; support is not an emergency service.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate app, website, or email notice. Last updated September 29, 2026.
